IELTS requirements for UK universities

Students who study abroad generally need to take the IELTS Academic version of the English proficiency test to prove their English proficiency to the school or consulate. According to the requirements of the British government, students who enroll in the Higher Education Institute (HEI) degree courses below the UK, such as: Foundation , Pre Masters, Pre sessional English, International Year 1 , need IELTS UKVI . IELTS UKVI is a little more expensive than IELTS Academic . If you report the wrong version, you will not be able to apply for a UK student visa to study related courses. Please pay attention!

For students applying for a degree or master's degree at a British university , the British government requires IELTS Academic . If you take IELTS UKVI , there will be no problem.

IELTS requirements for UK universities vary by course

Note: UK universities require IELTS 6.5 for admission . What course options are there if you do not meet the requirement?
