50% of World’s Top 20; 30% of World’s Top 100 universities are from U.S.

Amongst the 4,589 U.S. universities, some are Nationally ranked while some are Regionally ranked.

Regionally ranked universities usually do not confer doctoral degrees.

U.S. News is the most sought after ranking and its ranking criteria are: Faculty resources, student selectivity, student retention rates, academic reputation, spending per student, graduation rate, alumni giving rate

Subject rankings tend to be more qualitative focus on parameters such as academic reputation.

U.S. University Entrance Tests: SAT / ACT

SAT and ACT are both academic aptitude tests for U.S. university prospective students. 

They are offered at different times of the year, students are recommended to take the test at F5 2nd semester.
