British Degree

a. First, go to the UK university admission requirements to find out which majors have requirements for secondary school elective subjects

• If the elective subjects you have taken meet the requirements of British universities, you can find out the ranking, exam results, salary, prospects and other employment information of the British universities you are interested in from the article "British University Subject Selection". You can also check directly with Maxway Education.
• If your major does not require corresponding secondary school elective subjects, the admission requirements of British universities state that DSE (excluding Chinese and LS) 333-554 covers most of the admission requirements of British universities. About 30% of British universities have a requirement of 3 or more for Core (at least English and Mathematics). Of course, you should check with Maxway Education for the specific requirements of your psychology subject in a British university.

b. The IELTS requirements for British universities depend on the course. For details, please visit the British University Admission Requirements. Of course, the IELTS requirements for individual majors will be higher. Please feel free to inquire with Maxway Education .

c. British Foundation is suitable for students who are in Form 5 or above, with good grades (elective subjects, English or mathematics may have 2 points), IELTS , and slightly weak elective subjects. After completing 1 year of British Foundation , students in Form 5 can be promoted to Year 1 of British universities. Students who study British Foundation in Form 5 can graduate one year earlier than their classmates. There are 160 universities in the UK, and only 7 do not have Foundation . Professional subjects such as law and medical schools all have Foundation . You can inquire about the details of British Foundation from Maxway Education , because

• Some majors or some UK university foundations require completion of Form 6; or
• For some majors, completing Foundation requires additional requirements such as an interview before you can advance to Year 1 of the relevant major.

d. International Year 1 is suitable for students in Form 6 or above who want to study business, architecture, engineering, psychology, law, tourism, politics, life sciences, computer science, etc. at famous British universities but whose grades, IELTS or elective subjects are not so good.

The key point is that both International Year 1 and direct admission to a UK university require three years to complete a degree. You are welcome to inquire with Maxway Education whether your preferred UK university and major offers International Year 1.

e. Associate Degree, High Diploma: UK Top Up Degree, please contact Maxway Education directly , because UK universities have different requirements for associate degree and high diploma grades according to the subject, generally above 2.8, IELTS 5.5

UK university application period: from early September to June 30 of the following year

* Each applicant can apply to 5 UK universities at one time. If applying to medical schools , a maximum of 4 can be applied at the same time.

* After June 30th of the following year to September, students can check with Maxway Education to see which UK universities have places available. If available, you can apply for one at a time.

* If you have a DSE predicted score of 5 in all elective subjects or an IB predicted score of 35 or above, it is recommended that you complete your UK university application in early January to ensure that you have a place in your desired university and major.

* Medical schools or some UK law universities have additional examination requirements, and students need to start preparing during the summer vacation between Form 5 and Form 6.

The UK student visa can be applied for at most three months before the start of school, and students holding a student visa can enter the country at most one month before the start of school. Students in need can inquire with Maxway Education .

UK student visa documents:

TB Test, unconditional acceptance letter from a UK university - CAS, valid passport, I ELTS or English test scores issued by an institution recognized by the UK government

* Different UK university courses require different versions of IELTS . Please refer to the UK University Admission Requirements article for details.

* Students who meet the English language requirements of British universities through DSE, IB or other methods are required to provide English scores issued by institutions recognized by the British government.

* Hold a Canadian PR or passport; or

* completed a British secondary school education for 1 year or more between the ages of 14 and 17 ; or

* Completed undergraduate studies in an English-speaking country, excluding universities in Hong Kong; or

* Have demonstrated English proficiency in other visa applications.

* Students who are under 18 years old at the start of the school year must have a birth certificate and permission from their biological parents

September or January, the latest arrival time is one month after the start of the semester.

A UK degree takes 3 years; a UK Masters degree takes 1 year. The choice of subject, academic background, IELTS and region will affect the time required to complete the degree. Details are as follows:

• Engineering , optometry , architecture , and pharmacy require 4 years, and medicine requires 5 years.
• Licensed Allied Health Professional Master (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing): If you do not have a relevant undergraduate degree, a Master will take 2 years. • Pre Sessional English or Pre-Master is suitable for applicants with a British degree and Master I ELTS without 6.0 or 6.5 respectively. They will add 2 months to 1 year of time and fees to the degree .
• Complete an associate degree or high diploma. Depending on the UK university and major , it only takes 1-2 years to complete a UK degree.
• Foundation is suitable for Form 5 or above, Foundation plus degree total 4 years
• The University of Scotland requires 4 years, while their famous universities only require DSE 444, which is even easier. Some majors can shorten their study by 1 year with good DSE scores.Maxway Education Enquiry
