Summary
There are 3,400 IB schools in the world, and a high proportion of British schools have top 100 IB scores.
IB courses are available from primary school to high school, and are called: PYP (Primary Year Program), MYP (Middle Year Program), IBDP (IB Diploma Program ). A school that offers all IB courses is called an IB World School. There are only 5 IB World Schools in the UK . Most IB schools in the UK only have IBDP@ Year 12 & 13, and Year 10 & 11 take the UK GCSE .
The advantage of studying at an IB World School is that the curriculum is consistent, which makes it easier to adapt than studying IBDP alone, and the results are better. The world view and thinking ability are significantly higher, but the assessment of the MYP curriculum is all done by teachers in the school, and GCSE has a public examination component. If you have always liked to think independently, ask questions, find answers through reading, and are good at expressing yourself in words, IB World School is a good choice. If you have always been unsure whether you are suitable for studying IB , it is recommended that you consider British GCSE schools first.
