U.K. private secondary schools and universities are very popular amongst Hong Kong students because universities have recruitment cycle that aligns with HKDSE result release schedule and its secondary schools can be ranked according to public exam results.

Applications involve school’s placement tests and admissibility will depend on student’s grade level. Typically it gets a more competitive for GCSE (S4 & S5) & A level (S6 & S7) admissions and easier for Y9 (i.e. S3) admissions.
