Job prospects for pharmacists in the UK

In the UK, medicine and pharmacy are separated. Patients with well-controlled chronic diseases or common colds go to community pharmacies to see pharmacists. After seeing a doctor, patients also take their prescriptions to the ward to get their medicines filled. The pharmacist verifies the dosage, checks whether the medicine the patient is taking conflicts with the medicine he or she is supposed to take, and educates the patient on medication. Therefore, the prospect of pharmacists in the UK is to be at the forefront and have time to contact patients and do real pharmacist work.
