Interesting discovery: Various engineering majors occupy 2/3 of the top 10 most profitable subjects in Canadian degrees or diplomas , but when it comes to Masters, they are not in the top 10, proving that

  • Technical talents will eventually need to learn management; and
  • For engineering talents, a degree is enough. A Master's degree may not necessarily add much value to your career!

Finally, if you study fine arts, regardless of whether you have a bachelor's degree or a master's degree, you will always get the lowest annual salary. This phenomenon is even seen in different countries. Do you want to choose some more applied and practical art courses? Welcome to inquire with Maxway

Canadian Master's Requirements

  • A relevant degree GPA of 2.75 or above. If your degree GPA is low, no matter how much relevant work experience you have, you will not be able to successfully apply for a Canadian Master's degree. You will need to apply for a Canadian Postgraduate Diploma instead.
  • IELTS 6.5 All Band 6 and above
  • Apply before Christmas for admission in September of the following year
  • Master's programs in business, engineering and architectural surveying may require 2-3 years of work experience
  • Taught masters may require GRE or GMAT . Business master programs require the latter, while other majors require the former.
  • Research masters need to contact relevant professors based on their interests to see if their projects have funding to accept additional students.
  • The difficulty in applying for a Master's degree in Canada is that locals are given priority. Even if you apply early or meet the minimum requirements, you may not be accepted. Please feel free to talk to Maxway about your situation and needs.
