Summary
BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) is considered equivalent to A Levels within the UK qualification framework and can be used for applications to prestigious UK universities. Unlike A Levels, BTEC grading is primarily based on coursework and internships, with fewer exams involved. As a result, BTEC students are statistically more likely to achieve an A* compared to A Level students, with a ratio of 3:1.

BTEC is equivalent to A Levels within the UK qualification framework. Students can apply to UK universities with three BTECs or a combination of BTEC and A Levels.
BTEC programs emphasize project work and are graded based on regular homework performance, in contrast to the exam-focused assessment of A Levels. BTECs can be studied at an UK FE Colleges and some boarding schools, with tuition fees generally being higher, often double that of A Levels.
