BMAT
BMAT Introduction
BMAT stands for BioMedical Admissions Test, which is suitable for students who intend to take the entrance exam to certain medical or dental schools in the UK. BMAT has 3 parts:
- Part 1: 60 minutes, 32 questions to test problem-solving skills and thinking
- Part 2: 30 minutes, 6 questions in Mathematics, 7 questions in Biology, 7 questions in Chemistry, and 7 questions in Physics
- Part 3: 30 minutes, 1 English essay of 550 words
BMAT score
- Part I and II: Score distribution 1.0-9.0
- Part 3: The average of the two reviewers' scores. The score has a numerical part of 1-5, and also has A, C or E grades. The numbers represent the quality of the content of the article; the letters represent the English level. For example: If one reviewer gives 3A and the other gives 2C, your score is 2.5B
- The average BMAT score is 5

- UCAT : This is one of the entrance exams for studying medicine in the UK. However, different medical schools in the UK accept UCAT and BMAT. Students can take both entrance exams for UK medical schools at the same time, but you can only apply to a maximum of 4 UK medical schools.
